The Baskervilles class, which is held at Baskervilles tea room, every Monday at 10am is suitable for children aged 1-5 years.
Our main focus is:
NURTURING CHILDRENS EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING
Classes combine a unique combination of
Music, Drama, Montessori, Sensory development & French .
Classes are highly interactive and last for half an hour. They are structured, themed, stimulating, magical and fun!
The sessions are divided into 6 areas.
Warm up section
Five minute Bear stories and warm up songs, concentrate on PSED Personal, Social & Emotional development. We also teach gratitude, love & appreciation for all, in this section. (Montessori)
Action songs with props and drama exercises.
This section focuses on developing fine and gross motor skills, literacy, sensory & drama.
Physical group songs
With props to extend social, sensorial & physical skills.
To practice mathematical skills, creativity & role play, while supporting children’s curiosity.
The music section
This helps develop vocabulary, rhyme, sentence structure, beat & rhythm.
The Cool down section
This allows children to refocus, develop and grow, releasing emotions and learning to control them.
Aims of Drama
Drama is introduced to break down the barriers. Drama is an effective way to teach children how to think creatively and interact socially, which is vital for their cognitive, social and most importantly emotional development.
Drama assists in the development of;

Aims of music
We aim to enrich children’s lives through music. Music provides opportunities for children to listen, participate, engage and feel motivated. The children will experience beat and rhythm and will recite songs expanding their long-term memory.
Music helps; create a beautiful bond between parent, child, and teacher. It ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness; intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language and overall literacy. Exposing children to music during early development helps children learn sounds and meanings of words.
The biggest gift we can offer is a curriculum which supports and extends knowledge and skills.
The curriculum used sets standards from the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS)
